Founded as a Girl Scout silver award project, Be the Difference empowers and motivates youth to take advantage of their individual ability to help the world. Both a fun and educational opportunity, this patch can be earned over the course of one meeting, yet provides a lifetime of inspiration. Knowledge is the foundation for passion. Without knowing what goes on around them, youth not only grow up oblivious to the environment, but also their capabilities. Be the Difference forges passion within scouts and other children, while showing them how to become better citizens. This patch opens their eyes to simple decisions that make a big difference.
As wisely stated by Dr. Seuss, we can only save our natural communities of plants and animals, while preserving our resources, if people recognize their individual power of change. Don't wait for someone else to fix the world. Be the Difference.
